I will be shocked if ST LOUIS does not win this game outright. I think Mike Holmgren has shown he is a better teacher than Head Coach and GM. Hasselback is not a starting QB in this league. Ken Dorsey is a better Qb than Matt Hasselback. He tried to develop this guy and did not work. Their defense is poor, they were the NFL darlings in the begnning of the season, and now they are very average.

NOW ADD IN THAT ALEXANDER IS PISSED, AND YOU HAVE A MEDIA BLUNDER over the whole thing. If I am AZZHOLEMARTZ, I am looking for blood!!!! And I think their RB combo will make a statement at Seattle.

the only thing is beating the same team three times. They had them dominated in that first game, and gave it away, and then St Louis waxed them in the 2nd game. Maybe I change my mind by week end, but not RIGHT NOW

Holmgren can't possibly have a job in Seattle after this season. In the first game against the Rams, Holmgren kept Hasselbeck throwing late in the middle of the fourth quarter even tho his team's up by double digits; why?, when he had a stud RB in Alexander to run the clock.

I'm with you, Newport. St. Louis straight up. I follow the Hawks closely, and I've seen their crappy defense lose games over and over this season. And yes, it's even crappier than the Rams defense.

its hard to back Martz, the rams were -24 turnover ratio, worst ever for a playoff team. Hard for me to back Seattle also. could be a no play.

I heard on ESPN yesterday....

That this scenario has happened 15 times (one team beats another team twice....and then they meet for a third time) and it was a clean sweep 10 times.

I know I live in Stlouis so I am biased.

We were -24 in turnovers and still finished 8-8. If we can somehow win the turnover battle we can travel far in the playoffs. This is a dangerous team. NOBODY and I mean NOBODY (afc included) wants to play the Rams.

Really? I don't think too many teams are shaking fear at the thought of playing the Rams, maybe Im wrong though.

I think both of these teams are a joke. Neither will make it past the second round, however I like the rams here against the seahawks SU

I am seriously considering the under here. Both teams will be focusing on defense and game tape this week, either team has been consistent on offence.
Thoughts?

You have got to be joking..........these Rams are the biggest jokes of the league led by ******* Martz...........then barely beat a Philly second string team then barely beat the Jets who cant score............then only and I mean ONLY reason they are here is that they had the fortune of finishing at home their last 2 games............they will be done on Saturday.........book it!!!!!!!

The Rams are my team but I will be the first one to say I don't like their chances here for several reasons.

1. In last 5 road games since victory in Seattle, Rams are 0-5 su and ats with the average margin of victory of about 3 touchdowns.

2. They will be trying to beat Seattle for the third time. Someone had posted that teams in this situation has won 10 of 15 times but I would like to know how many of them faced that team on the road in the third matchup. I would guess 1 or none had won in that scenario.

3. Homefield will be of huge importance. Hawks have not had a home playoff game in like 25 years. Crowd was rocking against Falcons , and I can only imagine how much more rowdy this one will be.

4. Martz can be counted on for not only some bad game time decisions but also bad game planning. Knowing Martz, he will try to beat them via the pass on offense which has worked for them in the first two matchups but imo the only chance they have is running Jackson between the tackles about 25 times to control the clock, keep the crowd out of it, and to keep Rams horrid defense off the field. This won't happen as Mad Martz still wants to do it his way which is by the pass and will backfire in this game.

5. Alexander has run wild on this Rams defense this year and he should be even more motivated by the fact he lost rushing title by a yard.

I could go naming reasons all day long against the Rams but I have seen them play in the dome 3 games this year including the last 2 games and walked away happy but feeling very fortunate. The buck stop heres for the Rams. You can count on it! I am totally surprised by the amount of people backing the Rams as they seem to have forgotten how poor this team has been especially with expectations. Overall this year this team is 5-10-1 ats which does not install confidence with this Rams fan. I am rooting for the Rams but I am not getting to excited as you can tell. I will bet the Hawks or not play the game due to betting against my team.

Martz has to attack that pass defense. The Hawks can't stop grandmothers on wheelchairs if asked so why not attack the weakness!

Two more reasons why the Rams are not a good bet this weekend:

1. The Rams have scored only 2 times over 17 points on the road this year and the last time was at Seattle. They have given up over 20 points on the road 7 times this year and over 30 points 5 times. This team is not the offensive juggernaut they once were at they are in the bottom 10 in the league in points scored average less than 20 points a game. Seattle will surely score over 24 points here which makes the odds of a Rams cover imo less than 25%.

2. They are beat up on both lines. The offensive line has no cohesiveness as they have played the same 5 guys only 3 times the entire season. They most likely lost another linemen in Tom Nutten for this game. On the defensive side, Little and Tyoka Jackson were both beat up and played few plays in the 2nd half against the Jets. Both will probably play but how well is the question. They also just placed Aeneas Williams on IR who is the leader of the secondary. In his place is Antuan Edwards who was released by the Pack and was burnt consistently on Sunday though there were some drops by Jets receivers. If Seattle can give Hasselbeck some time which imo is a pretty sure thing as Little and Jackson are their top pass rushers along with Hargrove, he will pick apart this secondary. Question is will receivers for SEattle hold onto the ball which they have for the most part the last few games and are now at full strength with return of Koren Robinson.

Simply put their are too many questions and ifs for Rams this Sunday.

egd,

Rams may want to attack Hawks secondary as it has been successful in first two meetings but I can tell you that Rams may not be able to stop Hawks pass rush. Bulger is still not 100% though his shoulder looked stronger on Sunday. One hit on Bulger's shoulder and everything comes crashing down with Chandler or Martin. Like I mentioned above is I am a Rams fan and hope they win but I don't believe it will. This is not a good football team this year imo.

I can guarantee this, the rams will not make it to the Super Bowl...any team in the nfc can beat them
